I attended my first UBCIC meeting as Councillor for the Neskonlith Band. The meeting was held over two days in Vancouver at the Holiday Inn. The Chiefs in attendance covered a broad range of topics, from health to the mining industry.

The next UBCIC Chiefs Council is scheduled for June 3-4, 2009. The meeting will be held in Vancouver, BC at the Holiday Inn and Suites Downtown (1110 Howe Street).

The UBCIC will host an All-Candidates Forum for the AFN National Chief Election on June 4th from 1:00 - 3:00pm. The forum will be available via webcast.

Please refer to the previous Chiefs Council notices which contained a letter from Ardith Walkem with the recent vacancy of the Secretary-Treasurer position of the UBCIC Executive.
